You can't have a football team without a solid QB, right? So, let's start with Vinny Testaverde. This guy was like the original gangster of Miami football, leading the 'Canes to an undefeated season in 1987. He was so good, he even won the Heisman Trophy, which is like the Oscar of college football. After that, he went on to have a pretty sweet NFL career too.

But Vinny wasn't the only QB making waves. Bert Emanuel was another one who left his mark. He was like the silent assassin, not flashy but always getting the job done. He held the school record for most passing yards for a long time, and even had a pretty cool NFL career too.

Now, let's not forget about the running backs.

Miami's always been known for their running game, and Edgerrin James was one of the best to ever do it. This guy was like a tank on the field, just plowing through defenders. He was another Heisman finalist and went on to have an amazing NFL career. Talk about leaving a legacy!

And how could we forget about Frank Gore? This guy was like the Energizer Bunny, just keeping on trucking. He's still going strong in the NFL, and he's one of the most productive running backs in NFL history. Not too shabby for a 'Cane!

But it's not all about offense, let's talk defense.

Miami's defense has always been tough, and Braylon Edwards was a big part of that. This guy was a shutdown corner, making life miserable for receivers all over the country. He was another Heisman finalist and went on to have a solid NFL career too.

He won a national championship in 1987 and another in 1989. After that, he went on to win a couple of Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys. Not too shabby, huh?
