We're here to talk about the big question on everyone's mind: did Lavar Ball actually play in the NBA?

First Things First: Lavar's College Days

Let's rewind the clock back to the early 90s. Lavar was a big man on campus at West Virginia University. He was a power forward, known for his size and strength. He played a few seasons there, but he wasn't exactly lighting up the scoreboard. He averaged around 2 points and 2 rebounds per game. Not exactly the stuff of legends, right?

But hey, everyone's got to start somewhere. And Lavar wasn't just a big guy who could score a few points. He was a hustler. He'd dive for loose balls, set some mean screens, and he was always in the mix. It's that kind of energy that makes players stand out, even if the stats don't always show it.

From College to the Pros: Lavar's NBA Aspirations

After college, Lavar had his sights set on the big leagues. He played in the USBL, which was like the minor leagues of basketball. He even got a shot with the New York Knicks in the 1995 preseason. But unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. He didn't make the cut, and that was that.

Even though Lavar didn't make it to the NBA as a player, he's still one of the most famous names in basketball. Why? Well, that's thanks to his three sons: Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo. All three of them are NBA players now, and they've got some serious skills.
