How Much Does Freddie Freeman Make

So, I was at this baseball game the other day, munching on my overpriced hotdog, when I looked down at my jersey. There I was, Freddie Freeman's number 5, cheering my heart out. It got me thinking, "How much does this guy make, anyway?" I mean, he's the heart and soul of the Braves, but does that translate into a hefty paycheck?

Freddie wasn't always the big shot he is today. He was drafted by the Braves in 2007, straight out of high school. He worked his way up, playing in the minors, honing his skills. It wasn't until 2011 that he made his major league debut. And boy, did he make an impact!

He's been a consistent performer ever since, winning the NL MVP in 2020, and leading the Braves to a World Series win in 2021. But with all that success, you might wonder, how much is Freddie Freeman worth?

In 2014, he signed a 8-year, $135 million contract extension. That's an average of about $16.9 million per year. But remember, that's before taxes and agent fees. Still, it's a pretty sweet deal, right?

Now, let's talk about his most recent contract. In 2021, he signed a 1-year, $22 million deal with the Braves. This was a bit of a controversial move, as many fans thought he deserved more. But hey, it's a business, and sometimes business is tough.
