How Old Are Iron Maiden Members

Ever wondered what's the story behind the guys who've been rocking our world with Iron Maiden since the 70s? You know, the band that's sold over 100 million records worldwide and is still going strong. Let's dive in and satisfy that curiosity, shall we?

Meet the Maidens

So, who are these legendary musicians that have been giving us some of the heaviest metal tunes for decades? Let's start with the founding father of Iron Maiden, Steve Harris. Born in 1956, Steve's been the band's bassist and primary songwriter since day one. That's right, he's been at it for over 40 years!

Now, you might be thinking, "Wow, that's like, what, four decades of headbanging?!" Well, yeah, it kinda is. But remember, these guys are metal gods, and they've got the stamina to prove it.

Age is just a number, right?

Speaking of age, let's talk about the rest of the crew. The current lineup includes Bruce Dickinson on vocals, Dave Murray and Adrian Smith on guitars, Janick Gers on guitar, and Nicko McBrain on drums. Bruce, the charismatic frontman, was born in 1958, making him the oldest Maiden. But don't let that fool you – he's still got the energy of a teenager on stage!

Dave Murray, the band's longest-serving guitarist after Steve, was born in 1959. Adrian Smith, who rejoined the band in 1999 after a brief hiatus, is just a year younger than Dave. Janick Gers, the youngest of the current lineup, was born in 1957. And last but not least, Nicko McBrain, the powerhouse behind the drums, was born in 1952.
