How Old Is Neal Schon Of Journey

So, you're curious about Neal Schon, the guitar virtuoso who's been rockin' with Journey since forever, huh? You're not alone, friend. Let's dive in and find out how old this legendary musician is, and why his age is just as impressive as his guitar solos.

Neal Schon: A Guitar God Among Us

First things first, Neal Schon was born on February 27, 1951. That's right, he's a baby boomer, born in the same era as The Beatles and the Vietnam War. But don't let that fool you, he's still got the energy and passion of a teenager when he hits the stage.

Now, you might be thinking, "Wow, that makes him... what, 70-something?" Well, hold onto your hats, because Neal Schon is 71 years young. That's right, he's been shredding guitars and wowing crowds for over half a century. Isn't that something?

Born to Rock

Neal didn't just pick up a guitar one day and decide to become a rockstar. No, he was born into a musical family. His dad was a jazz musician, and Neal started playing the violin at just 5 years old. But it wasn't long before he traded in his violin for an electric guitar, and the rest, as they say, is history.

By the time he was a teenager, Neal was already playing with bands and honing his skills. He joined Journey in 1973, when he was just 22 years old. That's like being a professional musician before you can even rent a car! Isn't that crazy?

Journey Through the Years

Journey has been through a lot of changes over the years, but Neal Schon has been a constant. He's seen the band go from arena rockers to pop sensations, and back again. He's played with a who's who of rock 'n' roll, including Steve Perry, Gregg Rolie, and Jonathan Cain.

And let's not forget the hits! Neal Schon has played on some of the biggest songs of all time, like "Don't Stop Believin'," "Wheel in the Sky," and "Open Arms." That's some serious musical legacy right there.

And let's not forget, Neal Schon is a guitar god. He's been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. He's got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He's a living legend, and he's not done yet.
