Joseph Gordon Levitt Doing Now

So, you're wondering what Joseph Gordon-Levitt is up to these days, huh? I mean, the guy's been around since he was a kid, from 3rd Rock from the Sun to Inception, and now he's all grown up and doing some pretty cool stuff. Let's dive in, shall we?

Directing and Writing

Remember when he directed that short film, HitRECord on TV, back in 2012? Well, he's still at it! His production company, HitRECord, is all about collaboration. It's like a big, creative playground where artists from all over the world come together to make films, music, and even books. How cool is that?

And get this, he's been writing too! He's working on a feature film called 7500, which he's also starring in. It's about a pilot who has to defend his plane against hijackers. Sounds intense, right? But that's not all...

Acting and Producing

You might have caught him in Snowden, playing the real-life whistleblower Edward Snowden. It's a serious role, and he nailed it. But if you're craving something lighter, you might have seen him in 7500, which is a bit more action-packed. He's also producing a bunch of other projects, keeping busy behind the scenes.

But here's where it gets really interesting. He's not just sticking to big-screen stuff...

Comedy and Music

Remember 500 Days of Summer? That was a fun one, right? Well, he's been dipping his toes into comedy again. He's got a show called The Joseph Gordon-Levitt Variety Hour on HBO, where he sings, dances, and does sketches. It's like a modern-day Saturday Night Live, but with JGL's unique twist.

And the music? Oh, he's been making that too. He's got a band called Sons of An Arcade, and they've been putting out some pretty groovy tunes. It's like if Phantom Planet and The Strokes had a musical love child. Pretty neat, huh?

Philanthropy and Activism

But it's not all about the glitz and glamour for JGL. He's been using his platform to raise awareness about important issues too. He's a big supporter of the ACLU and has been vocal about social justice and equality. He even started a campaign called Our First Vote to encourage young people to vote. Pretty inspiring, right?

So there you have it, folks. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is not just your average Hollywood actor. He's a director, writer, musician, producer, and activist. He's like the Swiss Army knife of entertainment. Who knows what he'll do next? One thing's for sure, it'll be something interesting. That's what makes him so darn cool.
