Where Is Gary Condit Now 2023

Ever wondered what happened to Gary Condit, the former US Representative who was once a household name? You're not alone! Let's take a little trip down memory lane and see where Gary Condit is now, in 2023.

Remembering the 90s

Back in the 90s, Gary Condit was a big deal. He was a Democrat representing California's 10th district in the US House of Representatives. He was even on the House Intelligence Committee, which sounds like something out of a spy movie, right?

But then, in 2001, everything changed. Condit found himself at the center of a media storm that would change the course of his career and life.

The Chandra Levy Case

Chandra Levy, a young woman working as an intern in Washington D.C., went missing in 2001. Condit was having an affair with Levy, and when she disappeared, he became a person of interest. The media was all over it, and Condit's life was turned upside down.

But here's the thing, folks. Despite all the speculation and media frenzy, Condit was never charged with any crime related to Levy's disappearance. Her remains were found a year later, but the case remains unsolved to this day.

Life After Politics

So, what happened to Gary Condit after all that? Well, he didn't stay in politics for long. He retired from Congress in 2003, just a couple of years after the Levy case.

But Condit didn't disappear from public life completely. He started a new career in real estate, buying and selling properties. He even tried his hand at politics again in 2011, running for a seat in the California State Assembly. But he didn't win, so he went back to his real estate ventures.

Gary Condit Today

So, where is Gary Condit now, in 2023? Well, he's still in California, living a quieter life than he did back in the 90s. He's in his 70s now, and he's enjoying retirement with his wife and family.

He's not on the political stage anymore, but he's still making a difference in his community. He's been involved in local charities and community projects, showing that even after a high-profile scandal, there's always a chance to give back.

Lessons Learned

Gary Condit's story is a reminder that life goes on, even after a scandal. It's a tale of redemption, of a man who made mistakes but didn't let them define him. It's a story of how one chapter in life doesn't have to be the whole book.

So, the next time you're wondering, "Where is Gary Condit now?", remember that he's out there, living his life, just like the rest of us. And that's pretty cool, don't you think?
