Who Is The Most Sacked Qb In Nfl History

So, I was watching this old NFL game the other day, you know, one of those where the commentator's hair is as big as their enthusiasm. Anyway, there's this QB, throwing interceptions like confetti at a Mardi Gras parade. I mean, I've seen better passing from my toddler when he's tossing his food across the room. That got me thinking, who's the most sacked QB in NFL history? Let's dive in, shall we?

Meet the Sacked Squad

First things first, we're talking about QBs who've taken more hits than a punching bag at a boxing gym. We're not counting sacks here, folks. We're talking about the total number of times they've been sacked. So, grab your helmets, it's about to get bumpy.

Blaine Gabbert - The New Kid on the Block

Now, I know what you're thinking, "Blaine who?" Yeah, I was surprised too. But this guy's been sacked 249 times in his career so far. That's more than some QBs who've been in the league for twice as long. Poor guy's been knocked down more times than a game of musical chairs. But hey, at least he's got a record, right?

David Carr - The Original Sacked QB

Remember David Carr? The guy who was drafted first overall by the Houston Texans in 2002? Yeah, he's the one who set the record for most sacks taken in a single season - a whopping 76 times in his rookie year. That's like getting sacked every other play. Ouch! No wonder he's got the most sacks in NFL history with 275.

But here's the thing, folks. Carr played behind a terrible offensive line. I mean, terrible. It's like they were playing a different sport altogether. So, while he's got the record, it's not like he was asking for it. Poor guy was just trying to do his job.

Why Do QBs Get Sacked So Much?

Alright, so you're probably wondering why these guys get sacked so much. Well, it's not because they're slow or can't throw. It's usually because their offensive line is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. You know, those big guys who are supposed to protect the QB? Yeah, sometimes they're just not up to the task.

Who Is The Most Sacked Quarterback In Nfl History?

Or maybe the QB holds onto the ball too long, trying to make that perfect pass. Or maybe the play just doesn't work out. Either way, it's not a fun experience. I mean, have you ever seen a QB get sacked? It's like watching a car crash in slow motion. It's horrible.

So, Who's the Most Sacked QB in NFL History?

Well, folks, as of now, the title goes to David Carr with 275 sacks. But remember, this is a record he probably doesn't want. It's not like he's proud of getting knocked down that many times. It just comes with the territory when you're playing behind a shaky offensive line.

And who knows? Maybe some other QB will come along and take the title. I sure hope not, for their sake. But hey, that's football. It's a tough game, and sometimes, it's tough on the QBs. So, let's give them some credit, shall we? They're out there, taking hits, so we can enjoy the game.

Until next time, folks. Stay safe, stay informed, and remember, it's just a game. Don't take it too seriously.
